 Louie Stevens — writer, producer, director (and owner), of Films You Feel and Magic Music Productions LLC, is honored to have been asked to join the International Telly Awards Silver Council. Only video producers who consistently are awarded International Silver Telly's (their highest award), are asked to be on the Telly awards Silver Council, who then judge other video entries for awards. Louie first served as a judge in 2009, and again in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Louie was chosen to serve on the Silver Telly Council after recently being awarded two 1st Place Tellys for videos he wrote, produced, directed and edited for Casa de Amparo and Seaside Center for Spiritual Living. In addition, in 2004 Louie was awarded a "Best of the Best" 25th Anniversary Gold International Telly Award for the video he wrote, produced, directed and edited for Welcome Back Centers.

 For the 20th year in a row (since 1991), composer Louie Stevens — writer, producer, director and owner of Films You Feel and Magic Music Productions LLC, was awarded an ASCAP Special (Financial) Award for the 13 songs he wrote for the World's #1 peer-pressure, drug-education video: Don't Say Yes When You Really Mean No! and Raging Hormones, the World's #1 Teen Pregnancy Prevention and Avoidance video.
 ASCAP's Special Awards Program is a financial award given to ASCAP members whose songs are not able to earn royalties because they are presented in non-profit venues such as schools, libraries and youth groups. ASCAP is the American Society of Composers and Publishers, which Louie joined in 1987 as a writer member (both music and lyrics).
  Louie wrote the musical video Don't Say Yes When You Really Mean No! in th late 1980's while he was the Music Director with "Just Say No" International — remember Nancy Reagan's "Just Say No" Clubs with more than one million schoolkid members?
Since 1989, more than 10,000 schools, libraries and youth groups have purchased both Don't Say Yes When You Really Mean No! and Raging Hormones, and in fact, both videos are still popular today and continue to be purchased! To date, an estimated 10 million schoolchildren worldwide have viewed these two educational videos!

 Two of our clients projects were awarded 2008 International Communicator Awards. The International Communicator Awards are administered by the International Academy of the Visual Arts. Each year there are 8,500+ videos entered which — rather then being judged against each other, are judged on their own individual merits. We were awarded two International Communicator Awards of Distinction for our client Self Help Works new eight hour web training video, and for our client Chaos Over's two hour web training video.

In 2007 we were awarded four International TELLY Awards! The TELLY Awards are like the "Oscars" for non-broadcast video productions. Each year there are 13,000+ entries which — rather then being judged against each other, are judged on their own individual merits.
  We were awarded a 1st Place 2007 International TELLY Award for the Seaside Center for Spirtual Living video. Being awarded a first place International Telly Award is quite rare. For example, there were about 13,000+ entries in 2007, and only about 600 were awarded a 1st place TELLY — less than 5% of the entrants, making this a very special honor for both us and for "Seaside Center for Spirtual Living."
 We also were awarded three 2nd Place 2007 International TELLY's. About 2,500 of the 13,000+ entries in 2007 were awarded a 2nd place TELLY.
We won for our updated Welcome Back video, Eddie Osterland, America's 1st Master Sommelier, and the third for Wealth Masters... Shopping and Cooking with Deanna for Optimum Health.
We also were awarded two Honorable Mentions in the highly prestigeous Columbus International Film & Video Competition, one for Eddie Osterland, America's 1st Master Sommelier, and the other for Wealth Masters... Shopping and Cooking with Deanna for Optimum Health.

Okay, I admit, I usually do not direct, film and edit music videos, BUT, this was my daughters's 6th Grade Promotion music video we're talking about here, and well, I could not resist! The song we choose was "Dynamite" by Taio Cruz — the perfect song! Watch and you'll see how this is NOT your usual grade school promotion music video!
There were three 6th grade classes and I filmed them singing and dancing to the song three times in each class, then went to work editing. A LOT of fun to film these kids, and I loved editing it all together! Yes, that's my daughter singing / acting solo near the end of the music video.

Writing New Children's Educational Magazine Stories
PROJECT START: November, 2010
Throughout the '90's I wrote several feature (fiction) stories for Listen and WInner magazines. These popular publications are used in grade, middle and high schools, libraries and youth groups throughout the country and feature stories, articles and helpful, practical information to inspire children to learn how to make positive chiolces for themselves.
I've decided to write some more stories, and right now I'm writing a new bio story Listen magazine about a girl who had her first recording session with me when she was just 12 years old (singing one of my songs for my musical: "Don't Say Yes When You Really Mean No!"), and then how she became a Disney TV star, a pop recording star, and then the lead in the #1 musical on Broadway: Miss Saigon — and, how she accomplished all this before she was even twenty!

We filmed Bob Vermillion, RMV's Founder and Chief Technology Officer, in their San Jose, CA lab, located at the NASA Ames Research Center (ARC). Mr. Vermillion clearly and effectively demonstrated how to properly ground both a workstation and yourself when handling Class 0 electronic devices, and several ways you can be aware of, and to ensure, you do not induce static electricity into electronic components, such as circuit boards, which could destroy their components.

In 2003 I created Grossmont Healthcare District's first PR video. A lot has happened with healthcare in East San Diego County since then, and this year the District asked me to write and produce a new, updated video to reflect these important changes.
Grossmont Healthcare District is one of the 70+ Healthcare Districts in California, which oversee local district hospitals. Grossmont Healthcare District's governing board oversees Sharp-Grossmont Hospital, serving more than 500,000 residents in East San Diego County.

Who is this very, very old guy! He's my client; Dr. Bill Creasy behind the mask, filming a new "Bible Blast" video for his new website. That's him on the right, without the mask! Good looking guy either way, don't you think?
We are creating hundreds of new "Bible Blast" videos for Logos Ministries. In July we filmed, edited and delivered Bill's first 15 "Bible Blast" videos. This December we just completed and delivered an additional 14 new "Bible Blasts", plus all new "What We Do" and "About Dr. Bill Creasy" videos.
In January we are filming Dr. Creasy "live" with a multi-camera shoot while he is the subject of a "roast!"
Who is Dr. Creasy? For many years Dr. Creasy taught a year long, 12-unit undergraduate course: "The English Bible as Literature". It became one of the most popular and highly rated courses at UCLA, placing Dr. Creasy among the top two percent of UCLA's teaching faculty. Dr. Norman L. Geisler and Ralph E. MacKenzie, in their book: "Roman Catholics and Evangelicals" (Baker Academic Press, 1995), call Dr. Creasy a "Bible teacher extraordinaire".

We are proud that once again Casa de Amparo chose us to create their latest video — our third video project with them in the past few years. This new video is a live event video, and it premiered in November at Casa de Amparo's 2009 Crystal Ball Gala held at the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. This annual Gala is Casa de Amparo's premiere fundraising event of the year.

"Mommy Meditations" CDs

Dr. Kerri Parks, OB/GYN and her writer / producer; Devin Bailey, traveled from Los Angeles to FIlmsYouFeel.com and Magic Music Productions in Encinitas to record the first in a series of "Mommy Meditations" audio CD's.
These new meditation CDs are designed to help new mothers — who, after the birth of their baby, are experiencing post-partum depression — to learn about and experience, the benifits of meditation.
In addition to recording and editing this new Meditation CD, I also edited the VO script, making it "warm" and friendly to the listener.

Kid Angel Foundation operates eight San Diego regional based after-school learning labs for children with reading or math skills who academically are below grade level. Kid Angel's services are provided either free to, or at a low-cost.
Kid Angel Foundation came to me to co-write and create a very information-packed 25-minute DVD that will help parents to better understand why their child is falling behind in reading and math, and how they can help their child get back up to grade level.
We created two versions of this new video for Kid Angel Foundation — English and Spanish Captioned.

"Dear Mr. President" Music Video
PROJECT START: January, 2009
Singer-Songwriter Karl Anthony writes anthems for life.
From leading the very first Russian / American Youth Summit in Moscow, to performing in homeless shelters in Asia, Karl has toured the globe uniting our humanity with his presence and his music.
Karl received the 2007 Gandi / King Season for Nonviolence Peace Hero Award for his humanitarian efforts and uniting music.
Karl's producer asked Louie Stevens to work some video "magic" — to create a new music video for his new song: "Dear Mr. President" from previously shot footage. "Dear Mr. President" tells the story of a little girl who writes a letter to President Obama asking him to "Please do your best". Her letter inspires other children to write as well, and inspires Karl to write this song.
Louie is now working with Encinitas based producer Beejal Parmar, creating a one-hour educational character building musical DVD school program based on Karl's live school show.

One Productions, Carlsbad, CA
Filming, Editing, Live Event Filming and Audio Recording
PROJECT START: July-September-October 2008
October, 2008: One Productions, an Encinitas based video production company, called on us to film their client Lisa Nichols of "The Secret" fame conducting a one-day workshop with teens for an upcoming TV program.
In September, 2008, One Productions has us record live to Protools a three-day conference conducted by Lisa Nichols.
August, 2008: We filmed a four-day ADD study conducted for One Producitons client Great Life Technologies, LLC of Carlsbad, CA. When the filming was completed, I then worked with One Productions staff video editor as project supervisor. The completed three-minute video aired during an interview with their client appearing on a Chicago TV program.
July, 2008: Richard Crawford, writer and director of One Productions, came into my edit suite to work together to edit a new marketing video for their client TIRaBase. TIRaBase creates virtual reality 3D software for designers of high-end buildings to see their completed building before it leaves the drafting table.

In 2000, I recorded three eight-hour self-help audio programs with Lou Ryan of Self Help Works: "Living Lean" (Weight Management), "Living Free" (Stop Smoking) and "Living Smart" (Stop Drinking). All three programs are very successful for Self Help Works as internet training programs.
In mid 2007 Lou asked me to film him presenting the first third of each of these three programs to replace the voice only parts of his internet training programs — about 7 & 1/2 hours of finished video.
I filmed Lou in front of a green screen and then created his entire training by scanning art from his book and using graphics, animations, music, clip-art and sound-effects found entirely in my stock library. I've delivered both "Living Lean" and "Living Free," and am now editing "Living Smart."

MatchMatrix founder Frank Seifert created an internet relationshp compatibility progam that tells you if you and your relationship partner are, in fact, a good match. Frank asked me to create four short videos to place on his MatchMatrix website, to introduce and explain this process to people visiting the site.
I filmed Fank in front of a green screen background, then added frame grabs from his website behind him to support his message as he spoke. I used motion control with these images to add movement.
